Rally Day

As the weather gets blissfully cooler and the leaves begin to fall from the trees, it can only mean one thing here at church. It's time for our fall programs to kick back into high gear! This is my favorite time of year. A time for new beginnings. A time to hear the sounds of children (and adults!) filling the hallways and the gym and the classrooms on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings! We have a lot of great events planned for you and we hope you will join us. Here are just a few of the things we have going on:

Sunday, September 9: RALLY DAY--Let's all worship TOGETHER! Rally Day worship will be held at 9:30 AM (this is our only service this Sunday morning). Bibles will be handed out to new pre-school children and 3rd graders. Towards the end of the service, all Sunday School children will be dismissed to classrooms where they will meet teachers and start the year. Weather permitting, we will enjoy our last Sunday outside!

Wednesday, September 12: 7th and 8th grade Confirmation, Wednesday evening meals, and hildren and adult choirs all start.

Sunday, September 16: We move indoors for our regular worship schedule at 8, 9:30 and 10:45. Adult Bible class begins at 9:15 and children's Sunday School starts at 9:30.  We will also have a Middle School Youth Group picnic at 2 PM that day.

Tuesday, September 18: Toddler storytime begins for our 0-3 year olds at 9:30 AM here at church.
Wednesday, September 19 is 9th grade confirmation orientation at 6:15 PM.

Saturday, September 22 is the kick-off for our new High School and young adult Youth Group i-Transform.
High School Youth and college-age students are invited to join us as we sing, hear faith-filled messages, and talk about issues of life and faith. We will meet from 7 PM-9 PM in the youth room.

Whether you come to worship every week...have been missing for awhile...or are looking for a Church home, we invite you to join us this fall at St. James as together we worship and praise God! And we encourage you to become involved in these or any of our other ministries!!!
